Veterinary Specialty Services is looking to add talented experienced Veterinary Technicians to the Neurology team at our Manchester, MO hospital! This is a full-time position with a consistent schedule each week, but will include some evening and/or weekend work based on caseload. Our specialty technicians work directly with our board-certified Neurologists to provide advanced patient care and excellent client communication.

***No experience in Neurology is required! We will ensure you receive all the training, education and mentorship needed to succeed in this position***

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Running patient anesthesia - including intubating patients, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, post-op recovery and monitoring.Properly performing medical treatments on hospitalized patients - including administering PO, IM, sub-q and IV medications.Observing patients and recognizing subtle changes in status.Performing drug calculations - including CRI medications and fluid rates.Assisting with Neurology appointments - ensuring previous records and diagnostic histories are received, obtaining patient history, obtaining vitals, etc.Client communication and follow-up.Assisting with recheck appointments for suture removals, bloodwork and other follow-up procedures.Monitoring hospitalized patients and providing client updates.Assisting with communications to referring veterinarians.
