Job Description:

The Environmental Technician II at Clean Earth is responsible for handling inbound waste streams, including treatment and processing using onsite equipment. Primary responsibilities include completing required paperwork, collecting samples of inbound waste, unloading bulk liquid trucks, operating equipment safely, and adhering to waste treatment protocols. The technician will also perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities:

• Complete required paperwork in accordance with company practices and procedures.
• Collect samples of inbound waste for compatibility assessment.
• Unload bulk liquid trucks to proper tanks.
• Resolve and report issues with inbound loads.
• Safely operate hi-lo and end loaders.
• Possess knowledge of waste streams and treatment protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience working with hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Windows-based programs (e.g., Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations.
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks with a safe driving record.
• Capability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Good attendance record and safe work history.
• Experience operating end loaders or backhoes.
