Overview

• Perform experiments using sterile tissue culture techniques. Work with mammalian and insect cell culture, maintenance, cryopreservation, and quality control assays.

• Perform DNA/RNA isolation and quantitation by PCR.

• Perform experiments utilizing basic and advanced nucleic acid molecular biology techniques including DNA plasmid cloning, restriction enzyme mapping, electrophoresis, and plasmid preparation.

Responsibilities

• Undergraduate enrollment; minimum 6 credit hours; graduate minimum 4.5 credit hours

• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• Some biology courses including college-level courses in biological science

• Some experience in molecular biology
