iENG Design is seeking qualified professionals to join our Engineering team We are a design-build engineering firm with offices in Granite City, IL, St. Louis, MO, and Nashville, TN. iENG is a stand-alone, independently managed design firm whose creative team members take a unique approach to each and every one of our projects. Our team is comprised of highly skilled engineers and designers who bring the art of design together with components of science and mathematics to produce clear, concise, and sharp engineering for large-scale HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems. Our projects are DESIGNED to be BUILT.
We are currently looking for MechanicalEngineers to join our Engineering department located at our office in Granite City, IL. Our ideal candidate for an Engineer will be someone who has 3 + years of experience in a similar role. They will be someone who is a self starter and will bring a strong sense of leadership, direction, and commitment to our projects.
Primary Responsibilities for iENG's Mechanical Engineers include the following:
Participating in engineering design efforts to create construction documents on assigned projects with systems including HVAC, process piping, and ductwork.
Preparing project specifications for HVAC and piping designs.
Conducting site visits to obtain necessary field data for designs.
Preparing and reviewing shop drawings and submittals for conformance to construction documents and specifications.
Participating in all phases of design and construction for multiple projects.
Collaborating with other team members and clients, utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Primary Qualifications for iENG's Mechanical Engineers include the following:
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering degree from an accredited institution).
Relevant mechanical engineering design experience with a focus on HVAC and piping systems design, plumbing knowledge is a plus!
Proficient in Revit.
Proficient knowledge of Trane Trace software.
LEED Accreditation is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to work well with both a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work within an environment with deadlines, and when tasked with multiple duties your attention to detail stays consistent.
