Our Operations Team has an opening at our Woodville, Wisconsin manufacturing facility for a General Manager who can provide leadership to all manufacturing & operations related activities to achieve business and financial goals. The General Manager is directly accountable for operations, maintenance, engineering, planning, facility management, and EH&S with dotted line responsibilities for quality, HR, and customer service. Goals & objectives will be accomplished primarily by coordinating & prioritizing facility resources to ensure manufacturing & operations objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner while collaborating with all stakeholders and functional partners. The General Manager will also collaborate closely with the commercial team and proactively engage with customers.

THE ROLE

  • Become the cultural leader and the value creator for the facility.
  • Drive bottom line financial performance. Has P&L experience and knows how to balance profitable growth and cost cutting.
  • Drive top line growth through partnering with commercial team to collaboratively win new business and delight current customers.
  • Accountable for meeting internal quality, on time delivery, attainment, and productivity goals.
  • Perform/lead activities necessary for the effective management of the manufacturing operation, including selecting and training employees; coaching, developing, and motivating; meeting organization goals and objectives; planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the facility.
  • Develop and communicate the site-specific long term and short-term business strategies and objectives related to the Comar business unit and broader Comar strategies.
  • Develop and execute the strategic and operational plan in conjunction with the site management team to achieve continuous process improvement, cost reduction and lean manufacturing.
  • Ensure the proper implementation of manufacturing principles as they pertain to the Comar production system, lean tools for 5S, continuous flow, standardized work, total productive maintenance, cost improvement initiatives, and capital projects.
  • Develop employees through Comar performance management processes including annual work planning, development planning along with ongoing coaching and mentoring of team members.
  • Collaborate with functional partners and stakeholders including quality, marketing, sales, customer experience, product development, finance, and HR to ensure success of the business.
  • Ensure all environmental health and safety systems, processes and procedures are followed, champion a safety driven culture. Observe and enforce all company rules and policies pertaining to EH&S. Lead by example.
  • Ensure, FDA, ISO, Comar, and specific customer quality standards, processes, and procedures are implemented and always maintained.
  • Adhere to and support the compliance of all company policies, rules procedures and housekeeping standards.

DO YOU HAVE?

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Over 10 years operations & manufacturing leadership experience; ability to manage various production levels and functions and successfully navigating ramp-ups for new products; prior experience leading within a complex production setting with multiple cells.
  • Prior experience leading manufacturing & operations within highly regulated industries (including cleanroom operations and ISO 13485 regulatory environment)
  • Ability to successfully interface with key accounts; assist with new business objectives as well as navigate customer quality & regulatory issues.
