Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific has awarded Dragados JV a $2.8 billion task order - under an $8 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), multiple-award construction contract awarded in November 2021 to Dragados JV to replace a dry dock at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility at Joint Base Pearl Harbor.
The Marine Superintendent will manage equipment and subcontractors related to the Marine Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise and be responsible for employees in the Marine Construction Department
Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
Order procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules
Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors
Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports
Cost control
Attend coordination and production meetings with the PM to develop activities and amend possible problems related to structures
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
5+ years' experience in similar marine construction role with 10+ years of prior construction experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret , technical procedures and government regulations
Ability to write daily reports,
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office
Availability and willingness to work weekends and night shifts per business needs
