The Department of Biology, Marine Biology & Environmental Science at Roger Williams University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Marine Biology with molecular biological expertise to teach lecture and laboratory sections of a 2-semester introductory biology sequence in addition to marine biology coursework in their area of expertise. Applicants with experience teaching introductory biology and who have expertise in Marine Microbial Ecology, Coral Biology, Ecology of Marine Natural Products, or Marine Biodiversity Discovery are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, mentoring and student engagement, as well as service to the college and community. Winter and/or Summer teaching, if available, would be for additional compensation. This is an outstanding opportunity to engage with a cordial, research-productive and teaching-focused faculty who value collaboration with undergraduate partners. This is a full-time, temporary position designed to enhance our department's capacity to deliver high-quality education and research in the field of molecular marine biology. The appointment will commence in August 2024.
