Rehab Tech (PT- Days) at Excelsior Springs City Hospital in Excelsior Springs, Missouri

Job Description:

Will assist in the preparation of patients treatment and handle the clerical tasks for the department. The technician will transport patients to and from the Rehabilitation department as needed. Performs tasks outlined by the Director, Therapists, or Assistants. Schedules and reschedules patient treatments and evaluations. Instructs and assists new employees, coworkers, agency staff with paperwork, billing, procedures, etc. Completes assigned performance improvement duties and special projects. Assists therapy staff with patient treatments on an as needed basis. Completes equipment cleaning and maintenance and keeps logs up to date. Monitors temperature of modalities and keeps log up to date. Maintains all modality mediums at standard level of product. Correctly maintains client files and records. Correct and timely input patient charges. Communicates with doctors, therapists, and payer sources as needed. Verifies insurance for therapy coverage accurately and timely as needed. Appropriately documents authorization information such as call representatives name, call reference number, exclusions, and limitations. Tracks insurance authorizations and helps to manage insurance paperwork. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
