You will be leading or participating in all aspects of the industry-standard methodology for assessing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating content. The Learning Material Specialist will create instructor-led courses (virtual and in-person), eLearning, and other instructional materials that simplify complex concepts, present information attractively, and maximize information retention and knowledge transfer.
Some of your primary responsibilities in this Learning Material Specialist role will include:
Lead instructional and technical content analysis activities
Work with trainers and other SMEs to gather knowledge for efficient design and development, including scheduling and attending knowledge transfer
Develop in-person instructor-led content, including CBTs, On-the-job training templates, and Instructor-led content
Ensure design consistency, cross-functionality, and reusable content aligned with the client's strategy and brand
Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods that maximize information retention and knowledge transfer
To apply for this Learning Material Specialist role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field
2 or more years of relevant work experience, preferably as an instructional designer, educational technologist, eLearning developer, and Learning Management System (LMS), specifically, ISOtrain, expertise
An understanding of the required elements for different training delivery methods, like instructor-led training content, point-of-need content, general communications, etc
Experience using PowerPoint, Articulate Storyline, or similar design and development software
