Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Education Attorney to join a dynamic team. As an Education Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of education-related issues. This includes but is not limited to matters such as special education law, student rights, school policies and regulations, employment disputes, and constitutional issues in education.


Responsibilities:


  • Advise clients on legal matters pertaining to education law.

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.

  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.

  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediation, and court proceedings.

  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

  • Stay updated on changes and developments in education law and regulations.

Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the California state bar and in good standing.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on education law preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws related to education, including IDEA, ADA, Title IX, and FERPA a plus (prior education law experience not necessarily required)

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for advocating for the rights of students and educators.
