Position Overview: As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions using Snowflake, a cloud-based data platform. You will be responsible for developing robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and maximizing the performance and scalability of our data infrastructure. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with Cortex, an advanced analytics platform, to derive insights and drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows on the Snowflake platform to support various data integration and analytics initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient solutions.
Implement best practices for data modeling, data ingestion, data transformation, and data storage on Snowflake.
Optimize Snowflake performance by fine-tuning SQL queries, resource utilization, and database configurations.
Ensure data integrity, reliability, and security across all stages of the data lifecycle.
Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to deploy machine learning models and perform advanced analytics using Cortex.
Develop monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and address data-related issues.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics, and evaluate their potential impact on our platform and processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and optimizing data pipelines.
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with cloud-based data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with schema design.
Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and techniques for data integration and transformation.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Experience with Cortex or other analytics platforms is preferred but not required.
