Sr. Project Engineer or Project Manager - Infrastructure/Public Works
This role will focus on assisting with the development of infrastructure design services throughout the Coastal Bend area by managing all aspects of public and private projects. The ideal candidate will lead and develop staff, help write proposals and negotiate fees with clients.
The ideal candidate will build relationships with clients by leading projects and being actively engaged with clients. This position will be responsible for the review and sealing of projects and will supervise the work of other engineers.
This individual will be responsible for invoicing and managing the work and will be tasked with developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and the technical monitoring of the financial performance of project budgets. Must have a working knowledge of the Corpus Christi area. In this role, you will develop and maintain good client relationships with the political leaders of the region's local government agencies, including prospective municipal and private clientele, all while demonstrating leadership and business development skills.
Essential Job Duties:
Responsible for the development of infrastructure design services through the Coastal Bend area
Manage all aspects of public and private infrastructure projects
Relationship building- Lead and be actively engaged with prospective client's relationship building
Responsible for the review and sealing of infrastructure projects and supervising the work of other engineers
Responsible for invoicing, managing, and monitoring the financial performance of project budgets
Develop and maintain good client relationships with the technical and political leaders of the region's local government agencies, including prospective municipal and county clientele.
Lead and develop infrastructure staff
Write and negotiate proposals with clients
Required Experience:
A working knowledge of the Coastal Bend area
Demonstrate leadership and business development skills.
Experience in managing project engineer task leaders, designers, and project personnel
Management experience in client relations, budgets, invoicing, and scheduling design
Ability to lead multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
EDUCATION
Licensed Professional Engineering in Texas
A minimum of 5-8 years of similar combined city and county local design and management experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
