Location: Mt. Sterling, IL Department: Warehouse Reports To: Director of Warehouse Automation
Your Role: Provides engineering support across the business including facility layout and remodeling design; energy efficiencies and overall footprint reduction; new building design and construction management.
Coordinates any Automation engineering related activity at all locations, in conjunction with operational leadership and applicable safety requirements.
Supports capital assessment and implementation with both internal and external partners.
Supports operations in long term Automation and capital planning.
Interacts with vendors, product selection, and procurement.
Facilitates occasional project management.
Applies lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
Role Specifics:
Travel - Overnight travel (average of 4-6 nights per month) for company meetings, trainings, and project responsibilities. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train some international travel may be required .
We Need You To Have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering and professional engineering certification. Degree can be in any of the disciplines - architecture, mechanical, civil, structural, or electrical.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
We'd Like You To Have:
Major in Electrical of Mechanical engineering.
Proficient computer skills, especially in programs such as Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
