Geogia Pacific Muskogee is looking to for Training Coordinator for our Dry End Departments. The Training coordinator will ensure the training program is maintained and current, developing training processes where needed, and seeking continuous improvement of the training processes. The shift for the position is 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday -Friday and could include weekends, holidays and OT as needed. The pay range for the position starts at $24.49.




Our Team

Located on the Kerr-McClellan Navigational Channel (Arkansas River) on about 640 acres of land, the Muskogee consumer products operation spans across approximately 70 acres (or 2,900,000 square feet) of manufacturing and warehouse space are "under roof" employing approximately 830 employees. We are the second largest employer in the Muskogee, OK area and 45th in the state! Our non-union facility operates on 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week, 365 days per year; housing 2 of the 13 largest tissue machines in the world and paper machines that produce an average of 900 tons of paper per day. Our finished product consists of a mix of 40% Retail and 60% Commercial.




What You Will Do

  • Perform, tracks and updates Dry End Standard Procedures with the help of the Day Techs and SMEs; makes necessary changes as proposed by the Day Tech, SMEs and Performance Leader
  • Assist in new hire orientation and hands on training
  • Utilize new tools in the development of training activities across the departments (I.e., Matterport, DeepHow, Etc.)
  • Coach operation & maintenance crew members to increase employee knowledge and understanding of equipment , system, and processes
  • Lead/Participate in corporate and departmental audits as necessary
  • Work with Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, Excel, and Power Point
  • Participate in new equipment training processes and training development




Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suites to include Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
  • Experience with multi-tasking and making decision in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience identifying crew knowledge limitations and implement work force training and development




What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience with computer capabilities to include knowledge in video and layout editing
