This position is based in our Irvine, California Corporate Headquarters with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days report per week.

Your role:

Ingram Micro is seeking experienced program management professionals who can leverage their experience to lead teams with a lean-agile mindset. They must be a quick learner and love challenging themselves to constantly raise the bar. This opportunity requires strong problem-solving skills, an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication as they deliver efficient, well-designed, and tested software for a positive user experience. The Sr. Program Manager, Agile Team will be establishing and executing all aspects of the program management function for the large-scale, complex Global Digital team. This includes a portfolio of medium-large sized projects that are delivered across the Ingram global landscape. The Sr. Program Manager will effectively lead the engineering team to deliver solutions that involve a combination of the following attributes: large-scale program investments, multiple project teams, multiple technology disciplines, global or multiple region geographic deliveries, geographically disbursed delivery teams, and/or the highest-level technical complexity. The program management function includes, but is not limited to: Program Leadership, Planning & Administration, and Execution Integration. This position must have a mastery of both program and project management methods, and proven prior experience working on a variety of digital programs/projects to succeed within the high-paced environment of Ingram Micro's Global Digital team. It is expected that the result of this position will be the delivery of an efficient and effective solution or series of solutions resulting in a competitive advantage for the company. A program is defined as a solution delivery team that is made up of multiple project teams all focused on delivering a single solution whose scope is large.

What you bring to the role:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

  • Preferred: an MBA (or equivalent) from a top-tier institution or equivalent business experience.

  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in combined program and project management delivery.


  • Strong people leadership capabilities. Ability to develop and grow a project team that is skilled and motivated to deliver against commitments.

  • Relationship management experience within an enterprise globally, among executives, customers, and staff; as well as externally with vendors and business partners as required.

  • Experience implementing enterprise-level software applications

  • Experience leading large cross-function teams and driving consensus among colleagues; the ability to lead, motivate, influence, and drive results in a highly matrixed environment is essential.

  • Ability to motivate colleagues to peak performance and establish credibility with key decision-makers.

  • Experience in evaluating a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and making decisions; prioritizes team efforts to support critical, business growth-driven initiatives

  • Complex problem resolution and ability to merge diverse technology agendas into a cohesive, integrated digital and eCommerce solution by influencing key technology resources.

  • Ability to conduct and interpret qualitative and quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills and show independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment.

  • Establish relevant and comprehensive program performance-related metrics that highlight, not only the overall health of the project

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to maintain alignment toward program milestones.

  • Drive process improvement to increase team efficiency. Curate internal training content and process documentation to keep teams aligned on standard operating procedures, guardrails, and best practices.

  • Handling aspects of technical projects for their organization, responsible for initiating programs, following their progress, and serving as support providers in case issues arise.

  • Manage Portfolio and program with constant communication with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.

  • Superior communication skills both written and oral.

  • Prince2/PMP Certification required

  • Agile certification and understanding of SAFe methodologies required

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:


  • 2+ years of experience at Ingram Micro working with eCommerce/distribution domain

  • Experience with Engineering and Implementing enterprise level software applications

  • Experience with Agile Management Tools (i.e., Confluence, JIRA, VersionOne)

  • Experience with SCM including branching and merging

  • Experience with leading engineering teams

  • Familiar with basic networking and infrastructure

  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.

  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.

  • Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics

  • Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices

  • Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition

  • Program Management: SDLC (Sofware Development life cycle), resource planning, MS Projects

  • Proficient with MS Office Applications - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Adobe Applications,
    Project Management tools

  • Proficient in Google Apps such as Docs & Sheets.

  • Knowledge about commonly used databases such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle

  • Understanding of Web based development.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $105,500.00 - $179,400.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
