For My Friends by Tyler Cobb

I was running through life without a care

Then I flew threw the air

I landed on my head

The doctors said I should be dead

Then a miracle came

I still have my life

Even though the doctor took a knife

To my brain

Which caused less strain

But hey

I am still here

Just trying to stay clear

Of any more problems in front of me

It’s hard to see

I go to therapy

I started school

Nope I can’t be a fool

I need to graduate

If I don’t

I will hate what I became that night

I was being dumb

Now I have to pass this goal

To make my life whole

To begin again

With a smile on my chin

I thank my family and friends

For sticking by me to the end

And now I send my love to everyone above

Who has shown me so much love

To help me back on my feet

So I can again walk down the street

So I can apologize to all of the lives

I have bothered along my way

So I can once again say thank you

For being so true

Watch one day

You wait and see

I will pay all of you back

If there is something you lack

I will bring it to you with a smile

Just hope for you that it’s not for a while

I will take care of you

Until you feel wonderful again
