MAJOR DUTIES:

Observe the operation of the warehouse in order to improve efficiency, implement cost saving ideas relative to the warehouse operation, materials, freight and labor. Manage inventory at all times including complete tracking of receipts, issues, adjustments, etc. in order to ensure inventory accuracy. Manage inventory movements in order to track history and establish reorder points. Manage the requisition and purchase order process and other inventory items based on lead times, forecasts, and reorder points in order to maintain satisfactory supply levels and eliminate/decrease backorders. Manage the receiving and inspection of all incoming materials and processing of all associated paperwork daily in order to insure computerized inventory is updated, discounts are taken and excellent customer service is provided to system associates and contractors. Manage the departments weekly work schedules, order fulfillment, and converter repair/cleaning/re-packaging in order to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Identify slow moving items and/or obsolete materials, work with other systems, warehouses, third-party vendors, and Corporate purchasing in order to sell/transfer/exchange these materials. Manage the timeliness and accuracy of all inventory transactions to include transfers, receipts, issues, cycle counts, put away, and tracking in order to insure computerized actual inventory and perpetual inventory match. Manage the department which includes training the staff, maintaining a safe, clean and well organized warehouse, maintaining the equipment and serve the systems' needs in a timely manner in order to provide efficient service. Comply with safety requirements, federal, state, and company guidelines/rules/regulations in order to meet and ensure a safe work environment. Report all issues/transfers and month end inventory values in order to inform, support and record business activity of the department. Implement and manage strict security and safety procedures on a daily basis for all equipment/materials with special emphasis on converters in order to prevent theft of materials, theft of service, lost revenue, and discourage unlawful conduct with stolen property. Implement and monitor reconciliation of converter inventory to billing database in order to insure timely and accurate reconciliation of converters. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.


Required Skills:
Minimum 3 years previous management experience including budget responsibilities .Knowledge of CATV operations as well as background/knowledge of electronics .Knowledge of CATV warehouse/converter operations preferred .General understanding of accounting principles relative to inventory accountability .Knowledge of Corporate and OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse and vehicle operations .Planning and/or forecasting experience preferred with strong analytical skills .Proven leadership skills and supervisory experience
