POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The producer/editor is responsible for line producing live and pre and post-producing taped shows as well as editing tape for all shows. The producer/editor must be able to work under tight deadlines and have good communication skills.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write/Edit features and highlights
Assisting in conceptualization of network programs
Line produce live and taped programs
Coordinate with show producers to produce short news inserts
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance
Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years television production experience required
Thorough knowledge of sports, both locally and nationally
Willingness to work non-traditional business days/hours
College Degree or equivalent
Excellent personal and communications skills
Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities a must
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Ability to use multi format technology including AVID and Final Cut
Ability to edit under pressure
Ability to edit both long and short form packages
