Dow Jones Indexes is currently seeking an Analyst within the Product Development and Analytics team. Based in Princeton, NJ, the Analyst will operate in an innovative and high-profile, yet demanding, environment. This position reports to a Project Manager and works with other analysts within the Product Development and Analytics team.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct independent research assignments on new products.
* Evaluate opportunities and understand constraints surrounding existing products.
* Develop analytical tools on top of index databases and other sources.
* Perform ad-hoc assignments in direct support of client requests.
* Some original writing may be required.
Requirements:
Candidate should possess 3-5 years of work experience and a technical or business degree (engineering, sciences, statistics, mathematics, finance, economics) from a top university. Preference will be given to a candidate with experience and proficiency in the following:
* Excel and VBA.
* FactSet, Bloomberg, and other data platforms.
* Indexing, incl. various methodologies, asset classes, and competitive offerings.
* Passive index management, replication and/or optimization.
* Active portfolio management and analysis.
