This job is responsible for preparing and tracking all Requests for Purchase Orders (RPO's). Additional responsibilities include monitoring Systems' inventory levels and implementing steps to minimize carrying costs and improve turnover ratios. Position will manage excess and obsolete System inventory as well as asset disposal procedures. Compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management that track the items above.
- Prepares requests for purchase orders for signature and ensures correct RPO guidelines are met
- Obtain competitive vendor quotes as needed for purchasing and procurement compliance
- Tracks the processing of RPO's for completion and ensures invoicing matches quantities requested
- Maintains purchase order activity reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Works with vendors to coordinate deliveries to support project needs
- Monitors inventory levels at System warehouses to minimize capital investment
- Prepares inventory analyses and works with Systems to effectively manage inventory through min/max levels
- Monitors excess/obsolete inventory items; reviews new purchase requisitions for possible reapplication
- Complete receiving in CIFA for inventory purchase orders and timely resolution of receiving holds
- Compiles and distributes reports to management
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in computerized purchasing, inventory control, or accounting environment required.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing.
- Experience with Oracle inventory control is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills along with good verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
