POSITION SUMMARY:
The Collections Supervisor coordinates and controls collection activity, managing a team of collections representatives. The Supervisor interfaces directly with Comcast customers as well.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily activities of collections personnel, procedures and functions.
- Schedule monitor and report on all outbound calling activity daily.
- Responsible for consistent application of procedures and accuracy levels.
- Monitor and report on aging of customer accounts.
- Monitor and report on monthly adjustment report.
- Responsible for monitoring and developing projects/action plans.
- Ensure competence and continuity of collection reps through selection, training, development, appraisals and motivation techniques.
- Responsible for consistent application of progressive steps to improve performance and insure goals are met.
- Assist with interviewing and selections process.
Required Skills:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience/self study.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections environment, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
- PC proficiency including Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communications skills conducive to maintaining good relations with coworkers, subordinates and superiors.
- Problem solving skills.
- Coaching/counseling initiative and leadership skills.
- Must be willing to work flexible schedule, including some weekends.
- Knowledge of business practices, office machines, billing system and business forms.
