Job Summary



Department-Specific Responsibilities


  • Assists the communications team with the creation of unique, engaging materials on the themes of student, staff, and faculty success; international partnerships; alumni engagement; government relations; and more.

  • Documents and archives presidential communications.

  • Interacts with administrators, greet guests, and field inquiries.

  • Gains valuable experience in fast-paced, executive administration office.

  • Identifies additional opportunities for presidential outreach.

  • Proposes engagement topics to the president's communications team.

  • Advises on current student trends and areas of interest.

Required



  • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University

SKILLS



Required



  • Strong writing, editing, research, and communications skills

  • Extremely detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate

  • Ability to quickly shift focus and write for different audiences

  • Excellent time management, execution, and prioritization skills

  • Eager, consistent, and can-do attitude

  • Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality

  • Proficiency in Word and Excel (including mail merges)




Working Conditions / Demands



This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary



$15.00 -17.00 per hours



Work Hours



Hours per week: 10-15 (maximum 25)


1 semester minimum (opportunity to extend based on performance)
