We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our Prototyping Division at our Hampton, Virginia headquarters. The Electrical Engineer will specialize in the electrical aspects of our rapid prototyping projects, from initial design through to implementation and testing. This role requires a combination of strong technical skills in electrical engineering and a creative approach to problem-solving to develop innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Design electrical systems and circuits for prototypes, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and system integration.
• Testing: Perform rigorous testing of electrical components and systems to ensure reliability and functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
• Prototyping Support: Work closely with mechanical engineers and designers to ensure electrical designs align with mechanical components and overall project objectives.
• Component Sourcing: Identify and select electrical components based on performance, cost, and suitability for rapid prototyping needs.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation, including design files, testing procedures, and user manuals for electrical systems.
• Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams to develop timelines, estimate costs, and review project progress. Offer technical support and insights during project reviews.
• Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering. Suggest and implement improvements in design and development processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or proven experience and portfolio of successfully completed projects.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in a prototyping or product development environment.
• Proven experience in electrical design and prototyping, with a portfolio of successful projects.
• Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
