Dexian is seeking a Data Asset Management, Data Operations Consultant for an opportunity with a client located in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
Gather/Create documentation to support regulatory oversight of process and procedures related to data ingestion and integration with company applications and repositories
Develop detailed data requests and solutions to meet customer needs
Assist in Data on boarding, data monitoring and data supplier relationships
Update internal reporting to keep all stakeholders informed of industry trends and the status of various accounts and projects
Create operational migration plans for furnished data to be executed by new applications and account for data formats, transformation rules, business rules and quality measures
Create operational processes and capabilities to improve data monitoring including but not limited to identifying data freshness, completeness and accuracy
Anticipate business needs and proactively provide and deliver upon relevant solutions
Use SQL to understand and analyze data as it flows through the business
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 3-8 years of professional experience in customer facing or operations role in data management
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Data Tools (SSMS and SSIS)
Proven customer management skills with a strong customer service orientation (desire to help others)
Proven upskilling and mentorship experience, working with new associates to ramp up their skill set
Experience with designing and implementing dashboards and reporting in a heavily regulated environment
The ability to multi-task and handle high volumes of small projects simultaneously
A proven understanding of data operations function, with previous experience in banking, retail credit or consumer credit reporting industries considered an asset
SQL coding skills (including experience with ad hoc queries, stored procedures, and functions)
Ability to analyze data using logic and quantitative reasoning, and an intuitive capacity for problem solving
Previous experience with external data sources and a high level of computer literacy, and excellent analytical skills
