Works under the close supervision of an experienced discipline Designer
Functions in a support role, providing drawing and deliverable development while assisting the discipline design team with accomplishing overall project objectives
Performs tasks with increasing competency by expanding knowledge and use of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Creates AutoCAD designs/drawings from engineering and design sketches, mark-ups, typical reference drawings and verbal instruction.
Coordinate with other discipline designers to ensure verbally received information is communicated and clearly understood
Assist discipline designers in drawing and deliverable development of One-Line Diagrams, Control Schematics, Interconnect Wiring diagrams, Plans, Details, Cable Schedules, and various spreadsheets
Assist discipline designers and ensure drawings are compatible and align with project and client requirements
Participate in all available technical training while continuously improving technical skill sets

QUALIFICATIONS
Good working knowledge of applicable department software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, etc.)
Learns and implements department design and drafting standards and procedures
Strong ethical standards. Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable
High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
A self-starter. Highly motivated, demonstrating personal initiative

Good communication skills, both oral and written
Adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of projects
Team player that works well with supervisors, subordinates, peers, and clients
2-year Associate's Degree - Electrical Technology or other applicable degree or certification
Entry level to 4 years industry experience
Occasional field visits if required
Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.
