Senior Project Manager - Drywall Division

We have an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager in our Drywall Division to be based out of our Canton, GA office location.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of diverse and complex construction endeavors. Your role will involve coordinating various project elements, managing budgets, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Do:
  • Takeoff of materials and equipment; selecting, ordering and tracking.
  • Developing and maintaining budgets consistent with timeline requirements for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Understanding project logistics and develop initial critical path project schedules.
  • Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders.
  • Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.
  • Maintaining, adjusting and updating project plans as needed.
  • Maintaining job costs when processing change orders.
  • Project accounting management; budget projection, material and labor costing and invoicing.
  • Assist with the payroll process to ensure the accuracy of hours worked and the labor costs are allocated properly.
  • Visits job sites regularly to perform due diligence and monitor quality. Addresses concerns and maintains consistent follow-up on any outstanding issues.
  • Prepares, communicates and educates the PSI team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.
  • Partner with Human Resources for assistance with the hiring qualified workers for the job.
  • Direct management of PSI workers as well as monitoring subcontractor and vendor performance.

What You Bring:
  • 15 yrs. minimum in the Drywall Commercial Construction industry.
  • In depth knowledge of construction estimating software, materials as well as general building knowledge and fundamental computer literacy.
  • Experience with large scale commercial drywall projects from inception to completion; including takeoff, budgeting, scheduling, as well as resource allocation and management.
  • Ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing with clients and team members.
  • Ability to present self in a professional manner and represent the company image.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications required.\
  • Extensive experience in a role performing Project Management job functions for construction projects.
  • Quality oriented & self-motivated with a "Safety First" mentality.
  • Use good judgment when making decisions.
  • Must promote a customer friendly environment and provide superior service.
  • Must provide information, service, management and advice to customers continuously.
  • Competency with on screen take-off and Quick Bid.
  • Ability to operate a smart phone, tablet or computer for time keeping and labor tracking.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and pass established pre-employment screening.
  • Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment and adapt to change quickly.
  • Business analysis skills, with the ability to see implications and provide consultative solutions and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of applicable departmental or business unit practices and requirements.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
