As a Receiving & Warehouse Associate at Johnson Controls, you'll work closely with the Receiving & Warehouse Supervisor to facilitate efficient receiving and warehouse operations. Your role involves moving supplies, materials, and equipment within the plant, requiring strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities. Familiarity with the SAP system is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
Receive instructions from Supervisor or lead person and execute tasks accordingly.
Receive, count, inspect, and verify part numbers on material and equipment.
Monitor assigned Queue for requested material from production and report discrepancies.
Safely move material between the dock, warehouse, and manufacturing areas, recording all moves in the SAP Warehouse Management System.
Conduct yard inventory, dock audits, and cycle counts as directed.
Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on material handling equipment.
Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and overhead crane as required.
Manage loading and unloading of trucks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in operating standard computer and scanner equipment.
Ability to safely operate dock equipment, forklift, and pallet jacks.
Working knowledge of SAP System for material movements.
