Job Description:

Part-Time Flex Sanitation Operator

This individual works closely with the sanitation department to complete cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the plant.

This position is part-time, with a minimum of 25 hours per week and a maximum of 29 hours per week. Must work a minimum of 5-hour blocks between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, five days per week.

Location: Melrose, MN

Wage Rate: $24.28/Hour

Essential Functions/Job Duties :

• Scrub and sanitize drains weekly.


• Clean forklifts.


• Clean and scrub monorail room floor one time daily (midway through production run).


• Clean and scrub other floors throughout facility as needed (shipping hallway).


• Perform general plant cleaning, housekeeping, and sanitation to support the sanitation, GMP, and safety programs.


• Work on GMP action items generated from internal / external audits and the quality department.


• Help with master sanitation when time permits.

Preferred Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.


• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to contribute to a teamwork environment.


• Ability to perform basic math equations.


• Ability to utilize computers & software programs proficiently.


• Ability to communicate effectively to ensure product flow to next workstation.


• Ability to problem solve, apply creative thinking, use resources, and make effective decisions.


• Ability to effectively plan and organize.


• Ability to contribute to a safe and organized work environment.


• Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.


• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position outlined in the Physical Demands Analysis (PDA)


• Ability to learn new skills and adapt to change as the organization continues to improve processes.


• Ability to draw conclusions based on analysis of data from multiple sources.


• Maintain prompt and regular job attendance.


• Ability to read and write effectively in English.


• Other duties as assigned.

  Age: 18 years or older


• 
  Background Check: Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check.

  Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and perform basic math.

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:

• Able to lift 50lbs.


• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.


• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.


• Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where chemicals are present.
