Job Title: Product Design Manager
Location: Beaverton, OR
Reports To: Vice President, Product Management

Position Overview:
The Product Design Manager is responsible for overseeing the design and UX flowcharts, competitive analysis, wireframes, components, brand systems, and high-fidelity production design of Epiq’s digital products. The successful candidate plays a critical role in product strategy, business need discovery, and delivery of the product roadmap. This position involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to develop each product’s feature set and acceptance criteria, ensuring a balance between strategic differentiation, executional feasibility, and deadline management.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of UX and/or UI designers, providing critiques and coaching.


• Work with Product Leads and Product Managers to gather inputs of design needs to build & execute.


• Collaborate with product leadership on vision to sell to stakeholders.


• Provide guidance for the personal and professional development of team members across various specialties.


• Develop component libraries, style guides, templates, iconography, and structure to provide best-in-class foundations for rapid UX/UI iteration.


• Journey map and competitive analysis to assist stakeholder mental models.


• Develop a fast-paced muscle for rapid wireframing and prototyping.


• Instruct, teach and evangelize the discipline of UX design across the business, interfacing with key senior leaders.


• Implement design processes for workload balancing& team cadences.


• Spearhead user experience research (UXR), when necessary


• Act as an individual contributor designing UX flows for key project areas.


• Guide frontend engineer partners with a constructive, results-oriented approach.


• Devise executional standards and expectations for work product from UX/UI


• Foster strong collaboration skills, work well with ambiguity, and across various roles and groups within the organization.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years in user experience design, user interface design


• Expert proficiency in Figma, proficiency in Photoshop


• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.


• Proven leadership skills and the ability to execute a creative vision.


• A deep understanding of user experience and product design processes.


• Experience user research and translating insights into product development.
