The Associate Scientist role involves molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, protein purification and protein characterization techniques. The role will involve working on multiple customer projects. As part of your role, good record keeping, understanding of regulatory requirements and skilled presentation of data will be essential. The role will involve the execution and documentation of work to regulatory required standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Vector Constructions, express and purify encoded proteins using platform mammalian expression system according to strict SOPs


• Perform a range of purification techniques for the purification of proteins


• Perform a range of analytical assays for protein characterization


• Prepare high quality reports and data summaries


• Performing lab and area inspections to maintain high levels of quality and safety. Contribute to lab cleaning rotation and Operational Excellence initiatives


• Effectively communicate with external customers and internal stakeholders across departments and sites

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred areas of study: life sciences, biology, bioengineering


• 1 year of relevant experience in a lab setting preferred


• Strong knowledge of molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, protein purification and protein characterization


• A team player able to share knowledge with others and actively participate and lead scientific discussions with other members of the team and collaborators


• Ability to work independently and diligently to an established plan, prioritize and work to tight deadlines


• Excellent interpersonal skills, with good communication and attention to detail essential


• A demonstrable analytical approach to problem-solving attitude is also an advantage
