Technical Writer (TW) / Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)
A. Harold and Associates, LLC (AHA) is seeking a Technical Writer (TW) / Instructional Systems Designer (ISD). The TW/ISD will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Quality Assurance Specialists, and Web Developers to gather and analyze existing training documentation to support the revision of the U.S. Navy Cryptologic Technician Interpretive (CTI) and Intelligence Specialist (IS) Rate Training Manuals (RTM). No travel will be required for this role. This opportunity is in Pensacola, FL and requires full-time in-office support and a security clearance. Candidates must have served for the United States Navy.
Specific Duties/Job Requirements:
Conducts Needs Assessment and needs analysis
Develops initial detailed review document
Reviews/develops RTM ELOs and TLOs for integrated master plan
Develops test package
Develops training data products
Coordinates with SMEs and support staff to conduct information gathering
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
Concise communication, able to adapt to customer needs
Other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Education:
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Instructional Design, Communications, or equivalent experience
Experience serving in the United States Navy
A minimum of five years professional work-related experience
Knowledge of adult learning theory
Data collection / facilitation skills (typing, listening, writing)
Organized and concise
Exceptional attention to detail
Able to adapt to customer need
Exceptional writing/grammar skills
Current Secret clearance or have previously held a security clearance
Preferred Experience:
Working knowledge of current US Navy rate training course documentation
Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification
