Responsibilities for Processor / Underwriter
Work directly with the insurance agents, team members, and policyholders to modify, update, and process insurance policies
Review and verify personal information including names, addresses, ages, assets, and other data to ensure the accuracy of insurance company records
Assist in appeals tracking and handling
Request, follow-up and obtain all needed medical exams and physician records.
Complete recordkeeping and data entry to maintain accurate client information
Correspond with existing and prospective clients via phone and email in accordance with the company policies; documenting all details to deliver the optimal level of customer service
Knowledge of Florida regulations and complies within guidelines
Qualifications for Underwriter
Bachelor's degree in Business administration or related field
Strong math and analytical skills are essential to complete job requirements successfully
Florida Insurance license 2-15 Life, Health and Variable Annuities
Experience working with private and sensitive personal information
Excellent negotiating skills and strategies
Ability to multitask and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously
Interpersonal and customer service skills are required when meeting with and interviewing potential clients
Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary software
Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed
