About The Role
We are looking for a Financial Analyst at South San Francisco, CA who will be an integral part of the Finance team to support the delivery of the business' operational and financial objectives.
Core Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Lead together with the Director of FP&A the financial planning cycle (Quarterly forecasts, Annual Plans & Strategic Plans)
Support the accounting close by reviewing variances from forecast to identify any necessary accruals or other adjustments to the financial statements.
Help refine key metrics and performance indicators used to evaluate overall business performance.
Ensure reporting deliverables are prepared timely, accurately and in alignment with partner finance teams.
Ad-Hoc support, reporting & review requests, and facilitation of expense related questions.
Seek opportunities for performance and operational improvement for the site and across the organization.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
3+ years of progressive finance experience preferably in consumer goods or another inventory-related field.
Advanced understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis concepts, principles, and practices.
Excellent ability to interpret financial statements.
Strong analytical skills - Advanced analysis and excel skills, and familiarity using and extracting data from various systems.
Demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
Flexible team player that enjoys hands-on responsibilities, with an ability to be proactive and a self-starter. Ability to work independently and effectively research and solve problems.
