What You'll Do

In contributing to our success the International Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for developing shipping methods to new territories by researching and negotiating rates, keeping up with laws when shipping to new areas, setting up tax ID's, and handling the end-to-end process of reviewing contracts with couriers. You will report to our CFO and work with the accounting team to establish a streamlined system for shipping to and from new countries. By providing in-depth knowledge on HS codes, shipping laws, and freight-forwarder negotiations you will elaborate on the growth that has kept iBuy successful.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinates shipping efforts of direct-to-consumer and wholesale shipment to and from different countries, ensuring compliance with import and export duties & taxes, tax laws for direct-to-consumer shipments, and meeting compliance requirements.
  • Implementation of required shipping, customs, and tax rules for new international retail markets.
  • Stay informed of, and assess, changing trade and shipping regulations and laws in relevant jurisdictions to mitigate legal and financial risks.
  • Arrange forms of shipment and negotiate rates with carriers for new retail marketplaces and wholesale jurisdictions.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and business units to build a robust understanding of company goals and mission.
  • Implement, track, and analyze full-cycle import/export process to optimize turnaround time, profitability, and workflow.

Job Requirements
  • 2 years' experience import/export is a MUST.
  • Experience with Domestic & International direct-to-customer online marketplace shipping is preferred.
  • LTL, Standard carrier retail shipment experience.
  • Understands full-cycle import/export including duties and GST/VAT taxes.
  • Has a strong knowledge of international laws and regulations including HS Codes.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team.
