Our client is a technology organization in the Madison area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, strong attention to detail and organizational skills. The salary range for this position is $90-120k.
The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop annual business plan for accounting functions including budget.
Collect departmental budgets and consolidate into annual company budget.
Directs financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and retention activities.
Manage period closing process with timely and accurate information.
Supervise accounting staff to ensure accounts are properly stated and effectively maintained.
Manage financial reporting processes for both current and new reports.
Manage acquisition of capital assets.
Direct all payroll functions.
Manage and annually review relationships with outsourced partners in banking, insurance, etc.
Assist in annual audit.
Prepare sales tax returns.
Ad hoc project as needed.
The Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field required.
5+ years of accounting experience required.
CPA preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Possess analytical problem-solving skills.
Internal control process improvement experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
