The Strategic Communications & Marketing Division (SCMD) is a growing full service agency within ICF with more than 200 project and account staff including a creative department of over 60 staff. Clients include many agencies within the federal departments of health and human services, energy, homeland security, environmental protection, transportation as well as multiple state agencies and private companies. SCMD staff conducts formative research, develop campaign strategies, design and implement national marketing campaigns, build strategic partnerships, develop and disseminate materials, and utilize traditional and non-traditional social marketing and communications strategies including Web2.0 social media.
Job Description:
ICF is currently seeking a Marketing Manager to support transportation demand management efforts in the downstate New York region. This position will involve coordination with ICF's strategic communications staff in Washington, DC, and may require limited travel outside the New York City region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing development and implementation of marketing plan to reach drivers and employers throughout the downstate New York region
- Overseeing development of materials and marketing tactics
- Managing staff in implementation of media planning, public relations, and collateral development
- Ensuring that marketing efforts support sales efforts
- Making recommendations to the Marketing Director and members of the Senior Leadership Team regarding strategic marketing efforts
- Writing and editing communications pieces
- Managing the marketing communications budget
- Tracking and reporting results of the marketing program
- Support to other ICF projects related to communications, transportation, and voluntary programs, and in developing new business
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in marketing, public communications, journalism or related field
- 8+ years of experience in marketing communications.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience should include developing and implementing marketing communications plans, with the ability to manage and execute public relations, collateral development, sales support, advertising, and new media projects.
- A self-starter with experience managing vendors and junior staff and a successful track record in client relations.
- Understanding of transportation and air quality issues, including experience working on transportation demand management programs, voluntary air pollution reduction programs, or business outreach efforts is desired but not required.
