Merchandise Analyst - Nine West Outlet

Location: White Plains, New York
Nine West, a division of Jones Apparel Group, is currently looking for a Merchandise Analyst. This position is responsible for achieving planned store inventory levels and receipt flow in order to maximize sales profit by store. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Fulfill open to ship by store using history, sales trend, and projected sales
- Establish store attributes such as size, volume, customer profile, etc.
- Review scan backlog, allocation book, on order and warehouse receipts daily in order to maximize business and ensure a continuous flow of merchandise
- Analyze store performance at style, color and size level and make appropriate recommendations to merchant and/or planner
- Develop store plans at the subcategory level that balance to the category plans (units & dollars)
- Provide input on merchandising, pricing and marketing strategies
- Coordinate weekly top ten, monthly merchandise update and quarterly size recaps.
- Establish and maintain store capacity reports
- Coordinate monthly transfers in order to achieve proper inventory levels and attain purge goals
- Perform other related duties as assigned
The qualifications required for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (MMS, Excel)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexible to the changing needs of the business
- College education or equivalent retail experience
- Must have 2 to 4 years experience
- Must have store planning and/or allocation experience
