Spotlight/Advertising Sales

Primary Purpose
â?¢ Responsible for achieving revenue goals for all products set by management
o Manage and up sell existing client base
o Provide customers with needs-based solutions to help them obtain their business objectives
o Develop new business by prospecting and cold calling
o Communicate with internal support team daily

â?¢ Achieve minimum monthly standards of performance with the following activities:
o Maintain an active monthly client on-air list of 30 accounts
o Conduct 10 client surveys weekly (needs analysis interviews)
o Conduct 10 client proposals offering client solutions
o Conduct 50 cold calls (combination of in person or phone based on LSM guidance)
o Conduct an average of 5 service calls weekly
o Minimum of 30 hours weekly will be spent on the cold calls, surveys, and proposal presentations


Major Duties and Responsibilities

â?¢ Prospecting
o Seek new customers through various prospecting methods including monitoring competitive media including; newspaper, television, radio and interactive
o Referrals from current customer base and advertising agencies
o Work with sales planner and telemarketing team to generate new business appointments

â?¢ Proposals & Presentations
o Work directly with Integrated Sales Planner (ISP) to develop consultative presentations and relevant proposals to meet customer needs

â?¢ Client Relationships
o Solidify relationships with key agency and client personnel through face to face meetings and client entertainment
o Ongoing communication with Integrated Sales Planner (ISP) to ensure client expectations are being met and develop additional advertising solutions for customers
o Serve as main point of contact with customer to resolve any outstanding finance, traffic or production issues. Includes traffic make goods and collections issues.
o Integrity Selling Process
? Schedule client meetings with upper management and super key accounts
? Work with ISP (Integrated Sales Planner) and LSM to create action plan for every target, key and super key account
? Client Needs Analysis, Client Demonstration, Client Validation, Client Negotiation

â?¢ Sales
o Prepare for weekly IBM (Individual Business meeting)
? Identify sales opportunities
? Enter activity in Sales Look as required
? Resolve client issues
o Reach sales goals by selling on a client need's basis, all product lines including; Spot, Internet, ITV, VOD, Multicultural, and Premium Sports
o Utilize Integrated Sales templates for proposals to insure effective demonstration of products to fulfill client needs
o Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and conferences
o Meet with active clients to deliver Customer Care reports on a monthly basis (includes detail reporting on all product lines)



Required Skills:
â?¢ Minimum Requirements
o 2 years of experience in media sales or related high-activity sales position
o Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business
o Must maintain valid driver's license

â?¢ Preferred Skills/Qualifications
o Strong written and oral communication skills
o Organized and detailed-oriented individual who can work independently
o Goal driven and has a passion for consultative client-needs based sales
o Demonstrated success in sales
o Passion for selling television and internet advertising products
o Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
o Comfortable with technology to include using laptops and mobile devices to conduct offsite presentations
o Proficient knowledge of marketing research to include Strada, CMR, Nielsen preferred
o Maintain a professional image and obtain customer satisfaction both internally and externally
