The Human Resources Generalist will administer policies and programs relating to all phases of human resources activity. Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Additionally, the Generalist will coordinate recruitment initiatives and new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals , by partnering with hiring managers, manage sourcing of candidates, prescreening candidates, scheduling candidates, and managing the SAP process to hire candidates.
Verify all new employee data entered into SAP system for accuracy. Keep records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. Train management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment. Partner with hiring managers; manage sourcing of candidates, prescreening candidates, scheduling candidates, and managing the SAP process to hire candidates. Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. Administer salary administration programs to ensure compliance and equity within organization. Assist with administration of benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Counsel employees on career development. Conduct employee satisfaction surveys. Research and respond to all inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Research and respond on any and all errors on payroll reports. Generate and print payroll reports for validation and documentation. Sort and distribute paychecks, and perform any other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding client service, organization, negotiation and communication skills; proficiency in utilizing on-line recruiting technology and tools; demonstrated oral presentation and written communication skills; the ability to showcase Comcast's business, culture and opportunities in a professional manner.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree or minimum five years in HR Generalist role required.
• At least two years of recruiting experience, to include proficiency with interviewing techniques, applicant appraisal, and candidate flow.
• PHR or SPHR Certification Preferred
• SAP HRIS System knowledge preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of governmental regulations, professional standards and practices related to EEO/AA, FCC and OFCCP; legalities and ethics of recruitment.
• Demonstrated understanding of labor relations and relevant laws.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of personalities and styles, to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong project management skills; able to present, develop and guide projects.
• Excellent PC skills including MS Office products and superior Internet skills are a must
