The position of Global Marketing Communications Administrator located in Maplewood, MN will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
- Proposes, plans, produces, and measures integrated communications projects and campaigns that support functional marketing/business plans, organizational plans and 3M's reputation and brand strategy.
- Uses influencing skills, writing, and presentation/speaking skills to lead multiple communications projects, manage product budgets, interpret and apply policies, or analyze data to make strategic and tactical recommendations
- Manages resources allocated to projects by supervisors and clients.
- Provides team leadership, training, and assistance to co-workers, team members, work groups and suppliers.
- Contributes to the communications community by leading task forces and helping to develop others.
- The supervisor is consulted for assistance as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5 years of marketing communications experience
- Minimum 5 years emarketing and/or new media experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience using Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in a related field such as business administration, marketing, marketing communication, journalism, advertising, public relations or mass communication.
- Project Management experience
- Tradeshow/Event coordination experience
- The ability to plan, lead and execute with deliverables on multiple projects
- Prior marketing communications experience working with International clients
- Prior experience working with / at advertising agencies
- Advanced administrative skills and the ability to prioritize and leverage others
- Creative art and print media experience
- Advanced knowledge of communications processes and technologies and the ability identify and recommend new technologies/processes.
