Description:
Responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of approximately 80 wastewater facilities including pumping stations within AWM’s New York & New Jersey region. Provide supervisory oversight for three service areas with thirty (30) full-time employees and five (5) part-time employees. Position includes responsibility for the financial performance of AWM’s New York & New Jersey Operations and Maintenance division.
Directs day-to-day activities and schedules of assigned staff and ensures that contractual operations and maintenance obligations are being fulfilled. Completes performance evaluations and development evaluations for each staff member as required by company policy.
Accountable for achieving state, federal and local standards for wastewater regulatory requirements. Accountable for achieving high levels of environmental compliance across project portfolio.
Manages client relationships across project portfolio. Ensures client issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Follows and implements Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies. Leads implementation of Health and Safety program.
Responsible for the financial performance of the group. Ensures all clients are billed appropriately and in accordance with contracts, identifies and addresses profitability issues on contracts, and participates in contract renegotiations.
Supports the company’s business development activities in the New England region, including operational and technical due diligence at potential new project sites.
Provides direct on-site operational coverage for certain facilities, and provides on-site oversight of staff operational and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
Extensive knowledge related to management of water and wastewater treatment systems and processes.
Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations for areas of responsibility (including environmental compliance and occupational health & safety).
Minimum of 10 years in water/wastewater industry
Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience
Experience operating membrane bio-reactor (MBR) wastewater treatment systems.
NY and/or NJ. Wastewater license strongly preferred.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license
Knowledge and experience operating membrane bio-reactor (MBR) wastewater treatment systems highly desired.

Salary:
$62,150.00 - $103,650.00 (Yearly)
