The Communications team at Arthrex is growing and we are actively searching for a Photographer/Retoucher. This position will be located on our Pendelton, SC campus. Main Objective:
Create high-quality photography encompassing various disciplines and subject matter, including employee portraits, corporate events, group photos, architectural photography, medical/scientific photography, environmental portraiture, product photography, and commercial photography.
Using best practices, provide timely and consistent digital post-production services for other photo team members on all types of still photography assignments. This role is based in Arthrex's manufacturing facility in Pendleton, SC. Currently, there are no other Photography Team members posted at this location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Photograph employee events, group photos, and manufacturing environments
Transport and set and strike photography equipment in a variety of industrial locations
Observe all safety standards while working in environments such as manufacturing floors, clean rooms, roofs, ladders, and lifts
Pose, direct, and photograph employees for corporate portraits
Choose selects of event, commercial, portrait, and product photos based on technical and subjective criteria
Perform basic corrections on all types of imagery including exposure, color-balance, sharpening, cropping, etc.
Perform advanced retouching on select images, including but not limited to compositing, blemish removal, special effects, corrections, etc.
Append appropriate metadata: keywords, descriptions, and custom fields
Ingest images into a digital asset management system (DAM) following established guidelines and standards
Manage and fulfill clipping requests for product photos
Work closely with photographers and internal clients to provide all imaging services in an accurate and timely manner
Receive and manage assignments through Arthrex service desk application
Work with the Corporate Communications team on photography needs for PR, social media, employee communications and other internal and external initiatives
Perform cross-functional duties and other special projects, as assigned
Plan and fly drone routes for aerial photography and video capture
Work as a Digital Technician/ Lighting Technician/ Photo Assistant for other Arthrex photographers as assigned
Work with Photography Coordinator to organize, plan and schedule photography assignments
Work independently as well as under the direction of the Photography Supervisor
Build and maintain photo collections
Requires occasional evening and weekend work
Travel up to 10%
Education and Experience:
Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in photography or visual arts preferred
5 years of experience in full-time photography required
3 years of experience in digital photography post-production required
Experience with a digital asset management system required
Experience with portrait and event photography required
Experience with studio lighting (strobes) required
Adobe Certified Expert in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom preferred
Drone Pilot with Part 107 license a plus
If not currently licensed, successful candidates must be willing to obtain and maintain their part 107 license

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently
Willingness to process and retouch a high volume of photographs produced by other photographers
Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail
Strong understanding of color management required
Ability to evaluate technical aspects of digital images, image size, resolution, sharpness, color-balance, exposure, etc.
Experience with drone photography with FAA Part 107 Certification preferred
Experience with Jira service desk a plus
Creative and collaborative nature; ability to conceptualize and create ideas for new images, styles and techniques.
Familiarity with copyright laws.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Proficient with digital cameras, lighting and general studio equipment
Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom
Strong computer skills for photo manipulation and digital asset management
