Job Description:

As the Maintenance Superintendent at our 70-unit apartment community, Island View Apartments in Portland, ME you will working closely with the Property Manager in the day to day operations.


This is a working maintenance superintendent position.


Pay: $32 per hour + Quarterly Incentives 


Location: Island View 151 North Street Portland, ME 04101

Responsibilities Include: 



  • In this role your goal will be to maintain our property well and  provide our residents with comfortable and well-maintained homes

  • Full-Time Position, with anticipated schedule M-F 8AM - 5PM and on-call rotation 

  • You must be able to respond to after-hour emergencies, when on-call duty is assigned

  • This is a working maintenance supervisor position, meaning that you are will be called upon to access and perform repairs or coordinate and supervise work performed by vendors/contractors when substantial repairs are required.  

  • Apartment make-ready duties

  • Maintaining cleanliness of buildings, common areas and grounds

  • Landscaping and curb appeal maintenance


 


Skills and Requirements: 



  • Working knowledge of building repairs, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, light electrical, painting and basic appliance repairs is preferred

  • Facilities maintenance experience, preferably residential apartments or construction

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Must have essential tools

  • Flexibility in schedule to perform on-call rotation

  • HVAC certification or be willing to take HVAC training (company will cover the cost of training)
