Summary of Position
Under general management, supervises the daily operations of the medical billing departments including claim submission, payment posting, credit resolution, denial follow-up, underpayment analysis and patient estimates for healthcare visits. Establishes and maintains systems to ensure that the department meets company financial and operational objectives. Provides training and support to staff regarding systems, processes, procedures and customer-service standards. The position reports to the AD of Medical Billing. EPIC experience is a plus!


Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in business, finance, accounting or an appropriate discipline (or equivalent education, training or experience) preferred.

  • Skills and Experience:

  • Requires the ability to effectively supervise a group of non-exempt staff, typically acquired through 3-5 years of supervisory experience in billing/collections.

  • Strong knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding, general accounting and medical terminology.

  • Demonstrated organizational, leadership and teamwork skills.

  • Excellent customer service.

  • Strong organizational and problem resolution skills.
