Role Description
Operations
Manage regional business to ensure profitability, efficiency and operational excellence
Understand the financial levers required to maximize profitability
Full P&L accountability for the business segment
Business Devleopment
Utilize creative and strategic agility to recognize and size-up existing and emerging market and product opportunities
Administer a customer experience to deepen relationships and build sales
Develop a roadmap for business growth in Canada and the US
Leadership
Hire, train, motivate and retain a high performing team
Instill a high-performance safety culture throughout the region
Ability to manage in a unionized environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
An MBA/EMBA or related business education from a highly regarded institution
7-10 years of progressive management/executive experience in a manufacturing or related business
Proven track record of leading both labor intensive and/or large product operations and machine-based and automated manufacturing businesses to exceptionally high levels of safety, quality and customer service performance
Sales or marketing management experience or a track record of growing market share, introducing new products.
Familiarity with the Canadian and US markets
Excellent analytical, financial and communication skills
US Citizen with ability to travel as required to Canada and throughout USA
Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills; knowledgeable in ERP (Titan) and production management software platforms
Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyse and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
