Job Description:

The CDL A Driver role involves traveling to assigned locations to pack, transport, and properly dispose of waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations. The position requires maintaining accurate records, following instructions, and working independently after training. The job may require being away from home for 2-3 days with paid accommodations.


Responsibilities:


  • Package and transport waste safely according to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Complete necessary paperwork in line with regulations and customer policies.
  • Load, secure, and unload materials and waste at various sites.
  • Prepare the truck with necessary supplies.
  • Provide high-level customer service and communicate issues to the Manager or Dispatcher.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks on the truck.
  • Plan and follow the schedule/route based on customer needs using routing software.
  • Adhere to all DOT guidelines while driving.
  • Perform additional duties as required.


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 21 years old.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and understanding).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
  • Capability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the company.
  • Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid TWIC Card.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of route driving experience.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations.
