AmberSemi is looking for a full time IC Analog Design Engineer to develop integrated circuits for Solid State Power Applications using CMOS Technology and Analog/Digital Circuits.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Mixed-mode integrated circuit design for Solid-State Power Applications
Design and Simulation with Cadence tools
Behavioral Modeling of Analog and Mixed-Mode circuits
Work with System Engineers on defining new Product Architectures
Layout supervision and verification
Preparation of Test plan
Product Characterization
Bench evaluation both at the silicon level and application level
Design documentation
Required Skills/Abilities:
BSEE or foreign equivalent with 8+ years of experience, or MSEE or foreign equivalent on analog and mixed signal Integrated Circuit (IC) design
Power Electronics IC design experience is required
Experience with analog building blocks i.e. amplifiers, comparator, bandgap, current/voltage reference, oscillators. In addition to basic analog building blocks experience in DC-DC switch mode regulator, PWM based loop control and stability
Thorough understanding of fundamental Analog Building blocks
Good problem-solving skill in all phases of IC development
Familiarity with Cadence Design and Simulation tools, and Verilog
Basic layout skills in Virtuoso Layout tool suites and understanding of DRC/LVS and extraction.
Ability to run the post-layout simulation and setting up different simulation corner and EM-IR/SH testing
Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in specification creation, technical report writing and test plans/ instructions
Education and Experience:
BS or MS Electrical Engineering Degree
8+ year's experience in analog mixed signal design
Compensation:
Salary: Range from $140,000-200,000 based on experience and skill sets
