University Staff Recruiter
Monday - Friday       8 a.m. - 5 p.m.    Exempt Role              The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) Human Resources office is seeking a Staff Recruiter to join our Recruitment Team. The UTK Human Resources Office provides services to faculty, staff, student and temporary employees.  Our office values excellence and inclusion by building relationships with respect, integrity, accountability and care.  Our HR team is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and inclusion goals of the University. We offer a culture that is supportive of respect and equity to meet the needs of our campus.AccountabilitiesRecruitment ServicesRecruits, screens and refers qualified candidates to hiring departments for further considerationPartners with departments to provide guidance on the hiring process including explanation of recruitment-related policies and procedures, posting positions, candidate screening, interviewing strategiesCounsels employees affected by reduction in forceCommunicates with candidates concerning specific vacancies, job qualifications, resume assistance, salary concerns and benefits informationExtends job offers to new hires, processes new hire paperwork and coordinates on-boardingCommunity partnershipsParticipates in community events such as career fairs, workshops, and assisted placement servicesDevelops and facilitates training programs



Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree and two (2) years of relevant working experience OR Associates degree and three (3) years of relevant working experience OR five (5) years of relevant working experience.Preferred QualificationsFull-cycle recruiting experienceExperience recruiting in a higher education environmentPHR, SPHR or other related certificationRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of employment related federal & state law and EEOC regulationsExcellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and MS Office skillsAbility to source and cultivate candidates from diverse backgroundsAbility to be flexible/objective in a high-pressure environmentPreferred Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of IRIS (SAP) and Taleo (Oracle)Applicants should submit a cover letter detailing relevant experience along with a resume and names and contact information for three (3) professional references.
