Our client, a major Entertainment / Sports company, is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join their Digital Products team. You will play a critical role connecting the dots between internal Product, UX, Engineering and QA teams, as well as external technical partners. Working closely with the Head of Product, you will drive the delivery of exciting fan-facing digital products and features that support strategic goals. The TPM will be core to the success of our product roadmap, and will be involved from planning through launch of innovative products.
This role is primarily responsible for "how" and "when" our digital product work is delivered, guiding internal and external Product, UX, Engineering and QA teams to successfully launch outstanding work on time, within budget and scope. The TPM will create detailed project plans, create and manage workflows, arrange for required resourcing, lead engineering ceremonies, and ensure successful project delivery. The person will mitigate risks to project delivery and partner with program management to communicate project status to senior leadership.
In addition to project work, the Technical Project Manager will partner with the Head of Product to foster a culture of collaboration and transparency within our org and across partner teams. The TPM will develop efficient processes, create and lead communication programs ensuring that stakeholders and partner teams are informed and aligned on programs and projects.
Primary Responsibilities • Develop and manage detailed project plans, identifying key milestones, timelines, risks and dependencies • Ensure timely delivery of projects; facilitate alignment of modifications to scope or timeline with key stakeholders and leadership • Create and manage workflows for Product, UX, web and mobile Engineering teams • Facilitate web and mobile development ceremonies (i.e. sprint planning, stand ups, etc) with internal and external engineering partners and teams • Design and participate in QA and UAT testing programs • Identify and communicate potential risks to project timelines, quality or budget; and develop strategies to mitigate those risks • Improve and create new project management processes, ensuring efficiency and transparency • Develop communication programs, ensuring that internal and cross-departmental partners are informed and aligned on objectives, roadmaps and projects timelines • Provide ongoing project updates, with verbal and written communications informing senior leadership of status • Define roles and responsibilities across stakeholders internally and externally • Lead and motivate your project teams, facilitating collaborative ways of working
Experience • 5+ years of experience in program or technical project management • Preferably with experience in a fast-moving B2C company with 1M+ users • Experience working with external development and technical partners
