This pivotal role involves spearheading the development and fortification of a sophisticated marketing website. You will be instrumental in ensuring stellar site functionality, ironclad security, and scalable growth, leveraging top-tier managed hosting solutions such as WP Engine and Pagely, while adhering to the gold standard of security protocols set by OWASP.

Key Duties:
  • Architect and refine our marketing website utilizing PHP and WordPress, upholding superior coding and security benchmarks.
  • Innovate custom WordPress themes and plugins, prioritizing security and performance.
  • Administer and enhance website structure with a lens on cutting-edge security measures and expandable frameworks.
  • Guarantee peak website operation and defense by employing managed WordPress hosting services like WP Engine and Pagely.
  • Enforce robust security strategies conforming to OWASP standards to protect against digital threats.
  • Engage in proactive collaboration with IT security experts for ongoing security assessments and enhancements.
  • Align website design and content with brand identity, maintaining strict security protocols.
  • Address security and performance concerns swiftly to reduce exposure to risks.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in crafting secure custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Well-versed in managed WordPress hosting environments, particularly WP Engine and Pagely, and their security offerings.
  • Competent in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS) and their security considerations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail and security.
  • Self-motivated and able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.

Education and Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent, or 5+ years of related experience.
  • Established background as a Web Developer with a strong focus on PHP, WordPress, and cybersecurity.
  • In-depth knowledge of OWASP security principles and their application in web development.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborative success and project clarity.

Compensation:
  • National Average: $78,600 - $88,000 (Remote)
  • Los Angeles Range: $88,200 - $111,000
